Looking at this pic, it certainly looks like he had a chance to do just that by extending the stick...

Hard stop on his right foot and extending his stick from his right hand likely stops the goal.

When Scheifele got the penalty earlier, he was really mad and before going into the box he did the "I'm gonna get you" point at someone. I hope it wasn't Evans.

That was one of the most unnecessary hits I have ever seen, and while he did not jump into it or lead with an elbow like someone else we all know would have his target was defenseless, he made zero attempt to play the puck and clearly had his mind set on destruction from the top of the circles.

Given the stupid notion that a playoff game suspension is worth 3 regular season games 5 would "equal" 15 reg season. For a first offender, maybe that's okay.

No way Scheifele was getting 5+ for a first offense that wasn't Bertuzzi-style.
