I don't mind people protesting this shit here, even if protesting US domestic policy in Canada doesn't make much sense, but do they have to do it in the middle of the busiest street in the city on a Monday morning? A 5 minute trek through downtown just took me an hour. You had all fucking weekend to do this.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Starbucks says it will hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years, a response to President Donald Trump's indefinite suspension of Syrian refugees and temporary travel bans that apply to six other Muslim-majority nations.

In other news, #BoycottStarbucks is trending on twitter.

One person that I saw said they were going to boycott Starbucks and start going to Dunkin Donuts.

I have never been in a Dunkin Donuts that wasn't owned by immigrants.

If we can't get people to #BoycottStarbucks for charging $5 for $.20 worth of shitty over-roasted coffee, I don't think this is going to do it either.

That's great and all but how about action? Right-wing extremism is just as much a threat to us right now as Muslim extremism. Guarantee this fucking loser left a trail of internet breadcrumbs under the guise of trolling and hate speech that could've been tracked and investigated. We've done a pretty damn good job in this country in preventing Muslims from attacking us en masse, how about flexing some muscle the other way?

And of course the pumpkin spice prez missed the part where CEO he said he would hire them all over the world. 75 countries that Starbucks has operations.

I guess all those 'mericans looking for work would be fine going to a Starbucks in China or Qatar.

That is until Qatar gets added to the list...

It is outrageous that a 5 year old boy -- an American citizen and Maryland resident -- was detained for more than 4 hours this evening at Dulles airport. He was held despite the fact that we gave the authorities advance notice of his arrival earlier today and, when I called later in the evening, they refused to say whether he had been released or was still in custody. Shame on you, Donald Trump. And thank goodness for the federal judge who upheld the rule of law and temporarily blocked the implementation of Trump’s removal order. We must remain vigilant and fight back.
