More winning...

The United Nations voted overwhelmingly to condemn President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel despite threats from the US to pull funding from the world body.

Some 128 countries voted for the resolution, while nine voted "no," and 35 nations abstained, including Canada, Mexico and Australia.

The vote came after US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley issued a direct threat, saying that the US will think twice about funding the world body if it voted to condemn Trump's decision.

"The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out for attack in this assembly," Haley said. "We will remember it when we are called upon to once again make the world's largest contribution" to the UN and when other member nations ask Washington "to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit."

Haley said the US will put its embassy in Jerusalem regardless of the vote.

I'm yet to see much of a difference between Harper and Trudeau. Steve is a huge dork and Justin is Worldbae but otherwise, little difference.

I agree that they've both been pretty ineffective.

Harper was more destructive though. He was also a blind ideologue. Completely disregarded experts in both social and hard sciences.

The "old stock Canadian" remark was Trump-level divisive.

Muzzling the scientific community via several avenues was third world shit.

Those are the main ones that come to mind as PM. I also feel like he did a huge disservice to the Conservative Party during his tenure as leader.

But as a person he's a shit stain; his involvement with the Northern Foundation (pro-apartheid) tells me all I need to know about his world view.

Trudeau has been a big disappointment in my eyes (sadly still better than Harper) but I've yet to see any evidence that he's a bigot/terrible person. Can't say the same for Harper.

Faster than anticipated? It's true. I looked and my phone app and it says greatness is up 171 points this year! The highest the greatness index has ever been.

Oh, and "back to work" apparently meant golfing today. He is on pace to triple the amount of time spent on the links in comparison to Obama's first year. Not that it matters to me much because we all know there isn't much "work" getting done even when he's in the White House. But conservatives lost their shit about it for 8 years under Obama, so it's just to remind them they are intellectually infantile hypocrites.
