I'd feel the need to chime in on the mental health v. guns narrative that the MAGAPOTUS spouted following this latest massacre.

It's alarming to me that this president can cite mental illness as a reason for this while his administration has worked hard to remove access to medical treatment for millions of Americans. Among those millions there are going to thousands of mentally ill people. Who better to identify mental illness than medical professionals? But his idea is to make these people pay for it themselves.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this administration is pretty much making it easier for many mentally ill people to buy a gun than it is for them to get treatment. I hate to use his own word but it really is sad.

Uhhh, Japanese car makers produce more vehicles in the US than American car makers do. Something like 80% of the Japanese cars sold in the US are built here.

Geeesh, I hope Gillespie loses this Governor's race. He is a fucking idiot and the fear tactics in his campaign have centered around Northam allowing the MS13 gang to grow. Some of the insinuations have been awful.

Then a Latino group made a counter ad showing a truck with a Confederate flag chasing minority children around a neighborhood. Very poor taste and absurd. The ad was not from Northam's campaign and may hurt his turnout.

Gillespie started this thing down this path. Same fearmongering tactics that the fucking moron President used. It's bad for all of us. Hope he loses. Northam had a 3-point edge going into today, but it's been closing, so it's probably fair to say it's dead heat.
