ESPN Cast Off
Watching the game last night, Seattle is night and day different than almost every other offense. Wilson is not asked to do anything outside his comfort zone. He plays smart and always gets positive yards. When nothing is there, he takes off, but always gets out of bounds well before contact. He is not expected to make the big play himself, just not make any stupid mistakes. He just moves the chains. They pound the ball against defenses built to stop today's NFL passing offenses. They run the read option, but if Wilson keeps it, he gets enough yards to get the 1st then gets down. He is a very efficient passer, but they really don't expect him to win the game with his arm. He knows what he can do and and been trained not to force it if its not there.
Is this a blue print for us and RG3? We have many of the same pieces they do, although we don't have the Oline they do. Can RG3 adapt to not thinking he has to make a huge play every time, just make positive yards?
