Did you listen to the one he went on a rant at those fans who complain about not spending? I just about lost it.I actually started listening to them. It is a hate listen though because Colby doesn’t have a coherent thought since the season ended.
I have said this before but Swanson isn't being given enough credit for what he did and how much he will be missed. If you think Gott will replace him, well we have an issue boys...lol.Another question for you guys...
If the season started tomorrow, how would you grade the offseason?
Personally I'd give it a C. They may have upgraded over Hangier with Toescar, and slightly upgraded at second with Kolten Wong. On paper the team is slightly better than last year but severely lacking at depth. We don't have a true DH, we have a glaring hole in LF, and nobody that can realistically replace Ty France or Suarez if either of them get hurt.
It's truly a big disappointment when Jerry said they'll open the checkbook. As we stand the Mariners are still a ways off behind the astros.Anyone here else think the Mariners are done this offseason?
They've made it clear they're not going to spend money - and there isn't much left to spend money on - so barring some sort of surprising trade I think this is pretty much the team we'll have in 2023.
For better or worse, Dipoto has shown he's not going to get desperate so I think that rules out a Bryan Reynolds trade as I don't think we have the prospect capital to trade for him unless we were to throw in Kirby or Gilbert which I personally wouldn't want to see.
I hope the speculation that this is partially due to an attempt to lure Ohtani next season is true, but I'm not overly optimistic.
That's a hard pass. He's very streaky more so on the side of slumps and his defense is average at best.Rays Hoskins..of philidelphia..is the other..idea..
It's hard..to give .what..you..do..not have..Anyone here else think the Mariners are done this offseason?
