#WizardHawk you taking the offseason off?
Ooohhh ya got it before..I did...lololoo..but.yeah#22, #29, #30, #59. #59 would be lost if we signed a free agent with a qualifying offer...which is doubtful at this point.

Agree it made them gun shy, but the thing with Cano was the Mariners overpaid but they were the only competition for Cano at anywhere near that so they bid against themselves, then screwed the next year after I can’t remember which when they didn’t sign Nelson Cruz. The Mariners being smart is a good thing, but “being too smart” for your own good isn’t and that’s where they seem to be.Just saw on High Heat it was Dec 12 2013 when the Mariners signed Cano' to the $240mil - 10yr deal.
9th year anniversary of that signing. Has made the Mariners gun shy ever since to pulling off a big signing.
I get not wanting 10 year deals, but they have to get over this bottom feeder strategy and reach into the piggy bank and make some $15-23mil a year signings over a 3-6 year deal when something presents itself that will vastly improve your ball club.
Maybe they will surprise us with a big signing or something these upcoming couple months... just seems like it ain't gonna happen.
I think they roll into spring training with pretty much near current roster with no big add ons.
