Bye Mitch

Don't let the door hit you in the ass ( likely would result in a stint on the IR for whichever ball club is dumb enough to pick him up )

Mariners can have a few promotional games 2023 season also.

1. left over Mitch Haniger cases of Vagisil for the ladies
2. Free boxes of band aids for all kids run around the bases post game Sundays.

Not sure their names but don’t the M’s have 2 MLB ready pitching prospects ahead of Hancock?
They do. Miller and Dollard I think.

Well..I'm ok with..haniger..cuz..he hit no 39 hrs last year....if he is injured..ok..well then you have.
Winker...conforto...then he comes back..like always..
If not..on injury
You will get top of baseball.... numbers..
He is not the 1st guy ever to go over..a bunch.
If bumps...it's how you deal..with it...
That makes a diff..

Passan-

“You also could go the piecemeal route where there’s a guy here, there’s a guy there, they’re able to trade (pitchers) Marco Gonzales and/or Chris Flexen, which is something that I’ve been told that they’re shopping them right now, and you have a bunch of smaller wins,” Passan said. “Maybe you don’t go and spend as much money, maybe it’s not as sexy, but in the end you become a much better baseball team.”

Corey Brock came up with a trade idea with Flexen to the Blue Jays, but hard pass for me. I can’t remember his name but the 2B who is under club control

Espinal or however you spell it. If it were Biggio I would say hell ya.

IMO I’d rather the Mariners into the season with 7 starters over selling us on them improving by adding more utility players.

He is basically what Toro was suppose to be. 27 and pretty much a utility guy like you said. .267 with 7 homers and 25 doubles. I would pass as well. Time to add bigger bats not fill-ins like you said.

A trade proposal from SodoMojo

The Mariners can offer the Padres a package involving Logan Gilbert, Jarred Kelenic, Chris Flexen, Penn Murfee, and Gabriel Gonzalez in exchange for Fernando Tatis and Seattle native and former Cy Young winner Blake Snell.

Jose Rameriz is a guy who I think could become available this winter. Cleveland is a notorious low payroll team and they have a bunch of young stars rising up who will want their money: Andres Giminez, Steven Kwan, Tristan McKenzie, Shane Bieber, Emmanuel Clase. They can't pay all these guys when they have 20% of their payroll tied up in Rameriz. And still, Rameriz is a bargain for a team willing spend money, at 6 years/$119 million.

Amed Rosario will undoubtedly get traded this winter. He's a free agent after 2023 and he'll probably command more money in arbitration than Cleveland wants to pay him. Don't want to give up too much for him, for one year of control, but he's an option.

Bryan Reynolds' availability is a pipe dream at present. He's got one of the most team-friendly contracts in baseball for the upcoming season ($6.75 mill). But they may be shopping him in July.

I don't see much else available in the trade market unless we are willing trade established players for established players and I don't think that is the plan.

If you are looking at free agents to fill the hole at second base, there are two guys I would consider bringing back simply because I think, with the defensive shift limitations in place, they will do better than they did last year: Jean Segura and Adam Frazier. They aren't impact players but they should return to their career norms which would be far better offense than we got at second base last year.

BTW - and not to rub it in, but - how many of you guys that wanted the Mariners to sign Kris Bryant or Trevor Story are now glad they did not? I can boast a little bit and say that I never wanted either of them here. Corey Seager? Sure, I wanted him, but I knew he would cost way too much.
