Kind of surprising to see it ranked this low.

I still think there is some high upside guys in our system. Despite sounding redundant, there are a lot of really young guys who could move up a bunch with another season under their belt. I also wonder if this takes into consideration that we landed the second best international prospect this year and one they considered the best international short stop in a decade.
Ya we are definitely not devoid of talent in the minors. It just happens to be at lower levels at this time with a few exceptions like Miller and Woo. Luckily our MLB team is deep and won't need reinforcements if something goes wrong...

Would love to see Evan White show up strong this year. It is a long shot, but it would be huge for us if it happened. We may forget, but the kid had serious power when he connected and replacing France at 1B would be a big win.

1 week until pitchers and catchers report so it's time to show back up and get ready.

This is what it says, but it doesn't mean much to me. You give it a study and let me know. :)

Enter science! These rankings of all 30 organizations were done, for the most part, the same way as last year's version. In short, while at FanGraphs, research by Craig Edwards (who now works for the MLB Players Association) revealedempirical surplus dollar values for each future value tier of prospect, so we can now make an objective ranking of farm systems derived from my individual team lists, which have been completed and will be published next week.

Another benefit of this approach is that you can use your own judgment to disagree with a ranking if, say, a team has $500,000 more talent but the lower-ranked team has prospects of the sort you prefer. This gives you the tools to see exactly how close every team is and a more granular view of what their players are like, compared to the other 29 teams.
I tried figuring it out, I don’t get so it must be over my head. Especially don’t understand the money equated with it. I tried understanding it but it doesn’t make sense that Atlanta is last and Seattle is 29th. So whatever formula it is I don’t get it.

I think this came out before he signed. Everywhere I’ve read is he is now the number 2 guy in the system and there isn’t the risk of him growing out of SS. I get how nationally the Mariners farm system has taken a hit but not this far of a drop.

The Bryce Miller jump makes me feel the Mariners have a crap load of guys who if they have a good season in the minors this year they can sneak into the top 100 or at least high enough in the top 200 that you can package them into a good trade. Maybe not the big Castillo type deal. I don’t know, this is all guessing game type stuff anyways but it just weird them being 2nd to last.

Two big ifs, but Kelenic and White both turn into what they were projected to be then the Mariners will be neck and neck with the Astros. If they can just get the lineup to where Teoscar or France are the full time DH then it should be a formidable offense to go along with the arms they have.

But why do we always have to play the 'If' game? For once, I just want to be the favorite with these guys being the bonus babies. Oh well. Life of a Mariners fan.

Well they couldn’t spend money because of a big if. What if Gilbert, Kirby and Raleigh are all going to be making $20 plus million in 2026. Yeah the of thing is annoying because Kelenic gets the first crack at LF, then if he fails then Trammell gets the next crack. But hey, I guess I don’t get the modern day game where they don’t emphasize definitive roles.

We are the only team that uses a positive 'If' as a negative. 'If' they all succeed, we need to act like Fort Know and keep money in reserve. Same old shit. Oh well season is almost here giving us something new to bitch about.

I'm going to go in as sober as I usually do. There are lots of reasons to be excited and optimistic that we will see some good ball. There are also questions that need to be answered before you can get all crazy with deep playoff ideals.

It's a long season and worth enjoying the ride along the way. No matter what their destination ends up being.

Just stay healthy and let's see what happens.
