RObbie ray...should ...chalk up on that..I've been out of town for the last two weeks or so, thought I'd give my feedback on the three notable moves we've made in the meantime:
- A.J. Pollock: Not exactly what I was hoping for, but he's an insurance policy when Kelenic fails. At this point my only hope for Kelenic is that the elimination of the shift will help him when he puts balls in play. Sadly he hasn't done that enough.
- Tommy La Stella: Another "not exactly what I was hoping for," but at least now we have a vet who can fill in across the diamond in case someone gets hurt.
- International signing class: Saved the best for last, looks like we hit a home run here. Felnin Celesten looks like he might be our next big international signing. MLB.com said he might have the highest upside of any international SS prospect in a decade. I'll happily take that.
Probably going to be slow between now and spring training. Given the signing of Pollock and La Stella seems like the Mariners are content with the roster as constructed.
