Season is Toast

Offense without Romo is non existent
Defense cant stop anything

The sad part is that if healthy this team could have very well been 7-0 or 6-1 when you look back over these games and consider how they played the first 2 games.

I'm not going to say Dallas is done. We are still only 1 back of the Giants in the loss column. I think the Cowboys have winnable games the next two weeks against Philly and Tampa. Romo is back after that. If Dallas can manage to stay just one back in the loss column until Romo gets back, I'll take those odds.

The Giants play New England in 2 weeks, if Dallas can win out the next two weeks, the Cowboys could be only .5 game back of the division lead with Romo back in action.

As bad as the rest of the NFCE is, they are still in this thing, amazingly enough! Any other year someone has probably already got a stranglehold on the division, but the Eagles and Giants stink and we have suffered too many injuries thus far.

Defense played good enough for this team to win today. 4 FG's is not gonna get it done, even against another offense thats struggling

Colors, put down the bottle and the 9MM. The rest of the NFCE is sinking almost as fast as Dallas is and Romo is back in 3 games. Wont be easy but I think THIS team can beat Philly and TB, then get rolling with Romo.

Eli threw 6 TDs today. Brees threw 7 and over 500 yds. We threw for 97 yds on 25 attempts. Seattles defense is good - yes but to throw for 97 and lose is extremely pathetic. I hate to say it because I think the guy is awesome , but I think it is more than just no Romo. All I heard before the season was how Beaseley was uncoverable in practice. Witten and Williams have guys running their routes for them. Escobar doesn't even see the field anymore. I don't know - just frustrated

For the sake of the argument say Dallas is 2-7 when Romo returns, how many games will they be out, 2? 2 games with 7 to play is far from over.
You can all throw in the towels if you want but I'm sticking by with hope. No doom and gloom from me.

Getting Tony back isn't going to cure all for this team. There are several aspects of this team that need addressing, it seems. Though some will work themselves out as the game plan changes for him, I would suspect

They aren't a perfect team with Romo... but they are unequivocally better. Rushing game is good defense is the best we've seen in a couple years. If we had a qb we'd be sitting pretty right now.

No doubt but the 7 games he is gonna miss, at worst I think we would have been 5-2 with him, making us 7-2 with 7 left. Those final 7 though are gonna be rough.

We aren't ''done'' with 5 losses, we could end up 11-5(LOL). Need a 7-2 finish. If the team could somehow win the game in Philly next week, there will at least be something on the line when Romo gets back

Sad part is, if Romo were healthy, the offense would have more TOP as well as scoring more points for the D. If you factor in playing with a lead and being on the field less, the group might be top 5. The front office has done a great job of rebuilding the offensive line(Collins is a MONSTER) and the defense is well on it's way. Now lets see some QB's in the draft....
