Maybe but look at the way the NFL is going to. I was Nattering with Dirt about this last night.

Instead of the Old School Catch players, the NFL is Moving to Jack of all trades, Gadget guys.

Elkridge is a Gadget guy,

I LUV this pick
Thats great but OL and DL are MUCH bigger needs

I did not expect a WR in round 2, Not at all. I thought OLB or CB were the Big needs and DT and OL still big but not as big. Still looking at the total 4 Linebackers on the team for SLB, MLB and WLB. Only 2 that are proven starters.

It really is kind of funny they drafted this kid though because after round one I was looking at the "best available" and I saw this 5 foot 9 190 pound WR near the top and I was like oh please no lol. I still think Swain is better than they believe and that Ursua could be special as one of these "not in practice but Big in Gameday" type players.

Wish Ursua would just get on the Field more! I dont know what it is and it wont stop nagging me but there is something there with him.

Seems like he's pretty lethal on slant routes and knows how to run them...

*Seattle proceeds to never throw another slant play while he's here*

Well I hope we take some CB or LBer today... because I'm not sure how the fuck we're going to cover:

Hopkins, AJ Green (if healthy), Moore, and Kirk let alone Kupp, Higbee, and Woods with a far better QB.

Ya think? We need corners? I wanted Robinson out of Central Florida or that Corner from Stanford. Oh well...

GM John Schneider thinks that having so few draft picks will make the Seahawks "very attractive" to undrafted free agents. UDFAs strongly weigh their chances of making a given roster when selecting offers. The fewer draft picks there are to compete against, the better those chances are. Schneider said the Seahawks' big draft classes in recent years made it hard to recruit UDFAs. That may be a reason why he traded back into the seventh round in 2019 and 2020 for John Ursua and Stephen Sullivan.

Hey now they signed Robert Nkerndiche and I remember how badly you wanted the Seahawks to draft him.

He was a risk but he had talent no doubt.

You have to be able to admit We was not a need, this was a vanity pick

Seattle traded down 10 or so slots... maybe we got Tampas 5th.

Edit, moved down 8 slots, get Tampa's 6th round at 217 (compensatory I believe). Kind of bleh... At least it's the first 6th round compensatory and another pick. Really too bad we couldn't trade down the 2nd but maybe Seattle was scared the Rams were going to take Eskridge... the player they got was worse in nearly every combine attribute than Eskridge....
