Magic finished 35-47 in Skiles’ only season as coach, a 10-win improvement from the season before.

Thank God. Maybe now Payton and Oladipo can fully grow without this sociopath.

3 of the 6 NBA Eastern Conference Coaches of the Month this season are no longer with their teams: David Blatt (Cavs, Nov.) Scott Skiles (Magic, Dec.) and Frank Vogel (Pacers, April).

He was the best thing that happened to them

Totally disagree. The guy was way too strict. Borderline sociopath. Aaron Gordon was another player he mistreated. He needs to admit how much he hated Tobias Harris too.

@WiggyRuss the luster has completely faded from Rob Hennigan.

Orlando is turning into a real shit show.

I wonder if this is a sign that Howard is really in the plans?

Does mean the Magic front office is going to go after Dwight Howard and Skiles wanted nothing to do with him?

They should hire Blatt.
sound like Blatt is actually a pretty hot candidate this offseason...

good for him...obviously a very smart guy....he just wasnt prepared to try and win NBA titles when he came over....

I honestly think he was intimidated.

I also don't think he would have been the guy had the Cavs known for sure that Lebron was coming back.

definitely he wouldnt have been the guy...

would have been interesting to see who would have been...would they have hired Lue as a rookie? I know he was the runner up to Blatt in the original hiring...

or would they have been able to lure a big name with the promise of coaching LBJ, Irving, Love?? a coach K or a Cal or something like that?...gotta say- if they offered Coach K 15 million a year to coach LeBron, his former protege in Irving, and Team USA member Kevin Love- he wouldve had to consider....

He wasn't prepared to deal with a guy of Lebron's stature. That was his biggest issue.

Can they start the growing by learning how to shoot?

Chandler Parsons should be the first call they make in Free Agency.

They can use a few shooting drills lol. I think it's going to take longer for Payton to get there than Oladipo.

Parsons would be perfect. I love that idea.
