Saying "Us" & "We" when talking about the team you like

Who hates it?

I used to say it.

And it never bothered me.

A fan can speak in terms of "we fans". But saying "we" in this way here, you are only setting yourself up for comments like "what/when did you get a hit/make a play/pitch a great game".

Fans definitely dont get on base but they are a part of the community, thee is a reason its called home field advantage.

I say it, but don't think it. It's natural.

I guess for wisconsin, I can say it b/c I go here. Or if you're a packer fan and own any amount of shares ya can.

But yeah, it annoys me when people genuinely think they're part of the team.

But you arent on the team right? How is it any different, yo are from wisconsin and you go to the university of wisconsin but arent on either team. Whats the difference?

When they stop milking me and all the other tax payers out of hundreds of millions of dollars for another ridiculous sports complex then I'll start referring to them as something besides "us". Besides, I couldn't care less about an imaginary bird or a sailor, it's the "Seattle" part that's key.
