Count 1 for hate here.
I do it sometimes without realizing... I dont like it, but isnt it the definition of a fan??? Shouldnt a fan consider himself in the community of that team??

getting upset about we and us is right up there with correcting grammar/spelling on an internet message board
it is also shorthand... If i am in a discussion, and it is obvious who i am talking about then it sometimes is easier to use the "we" instead of a shorthand of the team... it also sometimes emphasizes your arguments or point of view...
A fan can speak in terms of "we fans". But saying "we" in this way here, you are only setting yourself up for comments like "what/when did you get a hit/make a play/pitch a great game".
I say it, but don't think it. It's natural.
I guess for wisconsin, I can say it b/c I go here. Or if you're a packer fan and own any amount of shares ya can.
But yeah, it annoys me when people genuinely think they're part of the team.

Tell the seattle seahawks and the KC chiefs that the fans are not part of their team...
Yeah!!! We should just keep letting the stupid remain stupid.
I guess I am in the small minority that uses spelling and grammer to help me sort out who to follow and believe what they are saying, and who I can obviously avoid.
Different strokes.
