Law: 2016 ranking of all 30 farm systems

If you need reasons to tune in this season, the thought of seeing these top prospects make their MLB debuts to go along with the high ranking prospects that are already on the big league club.

We currently have 7 prospects ranked in the top 100, and that doesn't even include Mallex Smith, who I think will be an everyday outfielder at some point.

3 of those 7 were acquired over the past offseason in Dansby Swanson, Sean Newcomb and Aaron Blair.

The process might be painful, but in around 2 years, we went from a pretty empty cabinet in the farm system to being ranked the best.

Rebuilding, if you do it right (drafting, IFA, smart trades) can work wonders in the MLB. Look at what the Astros & Cubs have been able to accomplish

I'm pretty excited about the future. It's about time we went a different route and got some new blood in here.

Soon we'll have more prospects. We're supposedly doing work in the international market, particularly Venezuela and we draft third overall.

All these top prospects don't mean squat if you don't have a real mlb manager to bring them along under.

it sucks currently, but the braves could be back in playoffs by 2018. Swanson will be a star. will the team actually spend money to bring in a couple stars to finish the rebuild? I am not confident they do that.

The Braves have shown with all the talented contracts they unloaded to start this rebuild that they will spend money to win a DIV title...with the new stadium coming...I think they will...what they haven't shown is the willingness to go that last bat or arm needed to get a WS winning type team.

I really like the potential of Mallex smith, but it's pretty obvious that he's over-matched at the big league level. Ender Inciarte, please get healthy so that Mallex Smith can get back to AAA and develop his game. His day will come, but he's not ready yet.

He's shown flashes, but I agree, he does need a bit more time to develop, and he needs a lot of work on situational things. Like when to bunt and when to try to steal second.

Aaron Blair(the somewhat forgotten part of the Shelby Miller trade) could be making his MLB debut Sunday against the Mets. I expect growing pains like with any rookie pitcher, but I don't think he can really prove much more in the minors at this point.
