Took us about 8 tries with all kinds of methods and recipe tweaking. It’s a pain in the ass to get down the flavor and especially the texture. Really hard to nail down the NY jewish deli rye bread. It’s easier to get some shipped from NYC, but doubt they will do that.Exactly! You need great rye.

That's one thing I do miss about the midwest, good bread and great cheese. (obviously I'm from Wis)

Good cooks use those types of seasoning very often. There are some hidden secrets in those bags and bottles.When making a stew, those Lipton dry onion soup packets are an underrated ingredient. I use the hell out of onions, but something about the stuff in that packet just kind of makes it.
