Daughter of NHL great Phil Esposito dies of unknown illness

always awful when a parent outlives a child.

this was the daughter who married one of the players on the Lightning, while Phil was GM.... and a Russian player no less.
If she did that as Phil's daughter, she was one headstrong character. She brought Dad around though.

As a parent of three, I can think of nothing that would hurt me more than to have to bury one of my children.

Espo never backed down from a challenge, I'm sure he instilled those traits in his kids.
