Buffalo News...
The Sabres have scored an AHL hat trick. Luke Adam is the third straight Buffalo prospect to be named AHL Rookie of the Year. Tyler Ennis won the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award in 2010, while fellow forward Nathan Gerbe claimed the honor in 2009.
Adam, a second-round selection in the 2008 draft, leads AHL rookies with 28 goals and is second with 60 points in 54 games for the Portland Pirates. The 20-year-old center has three goals and an assist in 19 games with the Sabres this season.
I hope he turns out as good as Ennis and Gerbe. The future is looking brighter here.
