New wave Cowboy fans? I've been a loyal fan since my dad took me to my first game in the Cotton Bowl. I've been thru the bad years at the end of the Landry era when guys like you were saying everything was just peachy. Been therer, done that. And I'm damn sure ain't drinkin no koolade Jerry Jones is brewing up. You think things are great, good for you. I don't, I see the same problems with management, coaching and players. This ain't my first rodeo.

You don't want to listen to reality, don't read the posts.

But you constantly calling out other fans for their realistic opinions of the team is both insulting and tiring.

I'm glad you were able to hear and comprehend where I'm coming from.

I'll be sure and give your posts the weighty contemplation they deserve.

But since you brought it up, I don't need to go thru another fruitless season to see there were no major improvements in the front office, coaching staff or philosophy or players to give me any reason for blind optimism.

And by the way Sporto, my first football coach taught me how to button up my chin strap. I played center and Oline. What position did you play? You got the cheerleader part down...

There is plenty of room for all opinions and we aren't going to all agree even "most" of the time. If someone calling out their dissent of your opinion upsets you, then the internet isn't for you. If anyone expects everyone else to have civil discourse, the internet isn't for you.

I think people are letting first impressions still cloud their judgement. I read through the threads here and the general board and don't see really that big a difference between what the older and newer posters are saying. Luckily we don't have the fanboys running around spouting 16-0 and we dont' have the idiots spouts 0-16. We will be in the middle and most of us realize the middle will be a game or two deviation from 8-8.

But the snipping back and forth and "i've been a fan longer" stuff gets us nowhere. Not sure we have anyone here that doesn't know Dallas football or football in general. We have some that are more optimistic/pessimistic that others, but again if you want to get away from that then you will need to start your own forum and block everyone else from ever joining.

I only started with the "bitch and complain" part when I started seeing good folks either get banned for no reason or leaving because of the bias of the mods for the "old" folks...and the inexplainable defense of DJ. You have MULTIPLE people have major issues with him vs him....and you took his side.

Look at the old posts, if you are so inclined, and you will see...it all started with the mod's questionable action for PDay and against Otis/Tx Heat...and, to me, culminated with the banning of Tnerb....

Seems that you guys want to have a fiefdom of posters who bow to you and praise any decision you make....

When I speak, I speak directly to a person and I say what I have a problem with or disagree with. I don't question their loyalty, and I don't get others to speak to them for me.
