If we play the Rags, this is a huge loss for him. He broke his leg blocking CHarra's shot last night.
He's Dustin Brown East: a typical 3rd liner that gets enough ice time to put up 2nd line stats. He's an energy player on a team composed of 75% energy players. I don't see it as a big deal.
He had 48 points in 60 games this year. At that rate, if he'd been playing for the Flyers (and not missed any games), he'd be right behind Carter at 3rd on the team in points. It's significant.
Except he plays nearly 20 minutes a night. The only Flyer who gets over 19 minutes a night is Giroux, and only him, Richards, Carter, and Briere get over 17 a night. Callahan's PROD is somewhere between Leino and van Riemsdyk. Like I said, he gets so much ice time, he can put up 2nd line stats.
