Case and point.
Wouldn't it make more sense for OKC to try to shed RW's contract? While he's a fantastic player, I don't think his game results in rings...just ticket sales...and rings are where it's at

No, will never happen. He and George are off limits. This is more about basketball than it is the cap in spite of what is being reported.
I can fully understand Roberson and Schroeder...fully.No, will never happen. He and George are off limits. This is more about basketball than it is the cap in spite of what is being reported.

But Adams?
Watch, they'll shed Adams and he'll go ham wherever he ends up. His numbers slipped so slightly this year...scheme, not ability.
Kind of funny that OKC stole a dynasty from a real basketball city yet they have as many titles in OKC as the city they stole their shitty franchise from has had since 2008.

Yeah, I don't see Westbrook ever being someone the Thunder will look to trade. At least not while he's still a top player.
No one would have blamed him if he had followed KD out the door, but he chose to stay. His loyalty to the franchise was/is admirable, but the Thunder would likely be better off if he had been the one to leave.
They were proactive by signing him to a big deal a few years ago and then the the game changed. He makes 8 times what brook Lopez made last year. Centers are going out and shooting 3s like everyone else now. I really don’t expect him to be traded though.
Yes and no. I think Adams has value.
But it's hard to determine just how much value he has. He makes about $25 million per year, gets you 14ppg, 10rpg, plays really good defense, is surprisingly athletic and he's only 25. There's a lot of value in that.
But, he's also apparently never even attempted a 3 in a league where perimeter shooting has become very important. He's only 25, so he has time to develop a 3 point shot (kind of like Brooke Lopez did). If he does that, then he's absolutely worth his contract, imo.
What a sad existence you have. Is the saveoursonics shit collectable yet?
Da fuq? If you mean the Warriors without Klay or KD maybe you have a case. Maybe. What a sad state for the NBA to gift a team that was better than the current Warriors only to have them shit their pants in the Finals and fade off into having a 2nd round exit being a successful season.
...is this the year we finally get Horford?
I don't understand...
C Steven Adams reportedly on Celtics' radar
...the three the Thunder are waving at the trading block have a combined $51mil in '19/'20 salary. Roberson will be in his last year and I think Thunder are well ready to cut bait with him. Horford is doable and was rumored before the PG deal. Presti wants him I think.Shedding Adams' salary is purely to just get from paying so much into the luxury tax. They can't sign any big FA's or guys close to Horford's level. It would just be what they get in return for Adams. Probably like Marcus Smart, future pick, etc.
