To be fair to Westbrook, pick any player in the league that hasn't already won a title and you can safely say that player will never win a title and be right in most cases.

The expectations are higher because he is former MVP.

IDK, if he starts what position does he play? If he is the point guard he will dominate the ball causing the problems he has now. If he is the shooting guard, I think he fails because he stinks at shooting. If he comes off the bench then his minutes are limited so even he plays point guard he can't screw it up too much.

He plays PG. However, he would have to be the third option, meaning Paul George and either a dominant big or wing would be added to take the scoring load off of Westbrook. Of course, as I stated before, he would have to change his game to fit such a team, and with the salary demands of he and George, that added talent would almost have to come from the draft. Or, he gets a ring late in his career at a discounted rate.

Imagine if OKC had kept Durant and traded away RW AND Harden...
Imagine if OKC had kept Harden, Westbrook, and Durant and added LeBron and Klay Thompson! And Pat McCaw!

Good. OKC fans don’t deserve it. They should still be in Seattle.

Sure. But you could make the same comment about James Harden. He is probably never going to win a title either.

Come on, it is not his fault.
He never got to play with any good players. He was always surrounded by Jabronis.

There was never enough talent in OKC over the years to win a title
How can anyone expect to win with this list of crappy no talent teammates over the years??

Kevin Durant
James Harden
Paul George
Serge Ibaka
Victor Oladipo
Steven Adams
Enes Kanter
Carmelo Anthony
Reggie Jackson
Jeff Green
Kevin Martin
Taj Gibson
Kendrick Perkins
Dion Waiters
Andre Roberson
Dennis Schroder
Raymond Felton
DJ Augustine
Nick Collison
Caron Butler
Thabo Sefolosha
Derek Fisher

Worst for OKC, isn't that Westbrook won't ever win the title, but rather that they have signed him to an unmovable contract which will force them to move Paul George in a bad (for them) deal... Other wise they'll loose some 80M annually in taxation. (lux tax + tax penalty)

Don't get me wrong, he's a great athlete...but, he's not "team" material.

He should have been on the Harlem Globetrotters.

Absolutely agree... I still insist to me previous:

Yeah we're fucked.

...but at least he won't be getting any rings, so we got that going for us...which is nice.

Clearly a F.O. mistake... They weighted Westbrook more than the (lots of) other superstars that came through and have chosen to keep him... It clearly shows a F.O. unable to make the correct decisions.

Seattle will get another team soon enough...

right now the NBA is too worried about diminishing the talent pool...

Seattle and who else? They won't add one, it's either a couple or none. Mexico city perhaps?

Pshaw, whatever!....we didn't need:
Durant
Harden
Ibaka
etc.

They were just holding RW back.
