2023 RW is better than your guy, 2023 Jimmy G,

LOL.

Are you sure?

As someone that had to watch Russ the past two years, I will caution you greatly over wanting Russ under center in Vegas…

Have you watched him play at all the last 2 years?
Saw him play like 3 or 4 times last season.

Our starting QB's combined for 20 TD's to 18 picks. And we went 8-9.

26 TD's to 8 picks on the Raiders last season? We would have won 10 or 11 games last season with those numbers from RW.

Because 26/8 TD ratio equated to wins for the team Russ did play for…

Denver's defense was not good. Allowed 70 points in a game.

The Raiders had a top 9 defense in ppg allowed, 1st in the League the last 9 games (allowing just 16ppg).

How little Seattle got in trade should have been a tip-off that Wilson didn't have a ton of teams interested.

I do think Wilson is probably a high-end backup at this point. Or a bridge QB.

He had a trade clause as part of his last extension to Seattle. He had to agree to the terms of the trade. Rumors are Washington was ready to give up 3 1st round picks... other teams were interested, but Wilson only wanted certain destinations and Denver I believe was really the only one of his destinations willing to trade. Naturally they were going to give up less because Seattle's hands were tied. That said, The Commanders would've given them top 16th rounders and then who knows this year (currently #2...), with Denver they got a haul of players and two top 10 picks (one being a top 5).

I wish it could just be Walmart money or a drop in the family bucket. However, given the rules of the salary cap, the Broncos have effectively traveled straight into Financial Hell.

We'll see the rest of the league sometime in 2026. For now, we accept the role of the Washington Generals vs. the Harlem Globetrotters.

Sister and my nieces live in and around Denver. They loved Russell as he is a pretty damn good person.

Didn't think he was all that awful the last half of the season. Damn.

I mean, how do they even draft or move up for a QB? Or even try to trade for somebody? Gonna start 2024 with Jarret Stidham as your starter?

Wow!
eating $85 million to dump a QB who had a decent season and as far as I can tell, no prospects for a quality replacement.
that’s a damned expensive scapegoat for Sean Peyton
