This year is too early to look at

So 2 boards and 2 rebounds makes up the difference for Kyrie being substantially better at fg% and 3pt% and ft and less TO? I have to disagree

Anyways i never said Irving was better than westbrook in the first place

Yes, this year is too early.

Yes, 2 more dimes and boards make him better.

Remember: There are 82 games in a season.

I'm to lazy to look up how many each guy played.

But, that's 164 more assists and dimes if they played all 82.

You keep refusing to acknowledge the turnover to assist ratio.

If Kyrie has 5 dimes and almost 2.7 turnovers, that is awful.

That means for every 2 dimes he has 1 turnover.

If you don't believe Kyrie is better, why are we debating me saying he is not?

Westbrick has been amazing so far, although it's early, and i expect his numbers to come way down

Why would you expect that? They don't really have anyone else. About the only way I'd expect any significant drop in his numbers would be if they somehow trade for another top FA or at least another scorer.

I don't see him averaging 41.5 ppg 12 and 10 for an entire season...I would be impressed tho

Thank you for the Sunday morning laugh. What the hell are you smoking? RW is now OKC's # 1 offensive weapon. Please explain (in detail) why you think his #'s will go down. RW will probably average more points, rebounds, assists & steals than Irving this year.

His scoring will come down a good bit, it'll have to. However, there is no reason he couldn't maintain close to 12 assists and close to 10 boards. He averaged over 10 assists and close to 8 rebounds per game last year.

Considering his talent and that he has to be great virtually every night for the Thunder to have a shot (especially against better teams), there's no reason he can't be in the neighborhood of 30ppg, 10-12apg and 8rpg. Outside of ppg, that's not a huge drop off.

I'm sorry.

You must mean assists to turnover ratios, right?

One guy averages almost 10 and the other guy 4.

The guy with 10 dimes averages 3.5 turnovers and the guy with 4 dimes averages 2.7.

So, your point is blown to shit.

Again, Kyrie is a great ahooter.

But, no rational person will utter his name in the same sentence as Westbrook when talking about all around players.

It's not even close.

This. Most NBA fans would agree.

Irving is getting better daily but RW is the better overall player. He also plays some good D.

The bold alone puts Westbrook above Kyrie.

No doubt that Kyrie is improving and is already one of the better point guards in the league. But for him to get to Westbrooks level, he's going to have to improve his assist to turnover ratio and his defense.

Cavs fans will say Irving is a good defender after the NBA Finals.....

No it isn't. Although it is a little closer.

Westbrook for his career (which covers 82 playoff games) averages 7.6 assists and 3.7 turnovers. Irving for his career (which covers 34 games) averages 4.4 assists and 2.0 turnovers.

Seriously, how hard is it to Google?

Yeah, I expect Westbrook to put up big numbers. The Lakers best strategy will likely be to let Westbrook go nuts to a point and stick to the system Luke has installed.

Let Westbrook be Westbrook and hold everyone else down. If he puts up a big scoring night, but his assists are below average, I think the Lakers win.

But if he has a big scoring night and 8+ assists...the Lakers will be in trouble.
