I rarely pay much attention to baseball anymore outside of whatever sound bites I pick up from sports talk shows. But I gather the Royals traded away a super stud prospect for a non super stud but servicable starting pitcher and the reason used was "KC needs to win now".
So my question is, why, after 20+ years of sucking major ass, is it so important for them to win now? What's so important that you couldn't wait 1 or 2 more years for your super stud outfielder?
