For a couple of weeks i was hitting my driver really well, went from averaging 220-240 yards to hitting 280-300 yds right down the middle.

and just like that, it's gone. I had started incorporating my wrist more which I had avoided because it gets me in trouble...like i am now...but for awhile if worked really well.
and during the time the driver was working, I was in position to break 40...now I'm scrambling to break 50 at times. The funny thing is it happened at the turn, shot a 40 on the front and a 50 on the back....sometimes I hate this game.

Should read 260-300 yds

I've been grooving an old man's driver swing that I'm starting to hit consistently. I only missed two fairways yesterday. Still sucked though ;man what a beautiful and challenging course. It's a Tillinghast design and very tough. Beautiful though. Didn't break 90 and that's rare for me.

Playing my home course with those same fellows this morning.

Driver was working a little better. Started out not playing well, I was at 20 after 4 holes. Parred 4 of the last five and birdied one to finish with a 39.

Hit driver well and fatted irons all day yesterday. Shit, I got home and fixed it at my home range. I was playing the ball too far forward. Wish I had gotten it straightened out before the round.

Had a blast again with my new friends. One of them belongs to yet another private course and he's gonna have me play there soon. Things are looking up!

I haven't golfed and really haven't felt like it lately. Played at least once a week all summer and really enjoyed it and I love fall golf, but right now I am just not feeling it. Maybe once I get out again, that will change...but right now, golf isn't happening.

Game has gone to shit. Beteen the colder weather, wind, and the course has quit mowing, it's tough to know what club to hit. A month ago the greens were really fast, now you have to reall hit it if your a few yards from the pin. Last three rounds I've barely avoided a 50 over nine holes.

shot a 92 yesterday. Course was in really nice condition despite some soggy spots due to the rain we have been getting, but really not bad at all.

my driver was under control and my irons up to the green were pretty decent.

some bad putts though. For some reason I expected the greens to be slower than they were.

Our course has always remained open all year with temp pins. I'm worried that this year the State may close us because management won't be in place to control the flow of players. I wrote the Pro and he agrees that it's a good question and he's gonna talk to the board about it.

Fingers crossed~

played 9 holes yesterday afternoon, got in just as it was getting dark.

walked with my old Clicgear 3.0 cart, which works just fine for me...except I broke the brake line...guess that means no more parking on hills.

also, played alright. My short game has been pretty solid lately.

Looks like our course will stay open for play all year again. That's cool. Temp pins of course but at least we can knock it around.

It was a drag this year that we had to have tee times and all play went off of #1 tee. The front side is very steep and hilly so with my on-going knee issues this year, it was a challenge to walk. I had to take a cart most of the time and certainly for 18. I looked into joining another area private course but they wouldn't budge on the $3000.00 initiation fee so I'll be staying at my current club.

Those guys I started playing with this summer both walk with electric carts and they're pretty nifty. Instead of a new initiation fee, I'm going to buy one of those. My knees issues have cleared up so I should be good to go if I'm not pushing my Al Chervik cart bag around!

Got a notice on a deal from Costco with $300.00 off the MGI Zip Navigator so I bought it yesterday....it'll be shipped.

These things are pretty cool and it'll really help solve my issues with walking. In all the years I've played, I have never had anyone caddie for me. The guys I chatted with about this said it's just like having one. Can't wait to just freely walk along.

Played Sawgrass last week. Wasn't terribly pretty but pulled out an 83. Don't think I made a putt over 5' all day.

I appreciate pushing my cart around the course, it gives me something to lean on when my knees start aching...like a walker but with wheels.

I remember playing a course with my dad years ago with electric push carts like this. I thought it was pretty fun, but I was in my 20's and didn't really need it. Not sure if they still use them there though...I will have to check next time I get up there to play.

played on Saturday and shot a 85. I was really feeling it towards the end. My drives were going straight-ish, my approaches were hitting the green...really can't complain. Not sure if I should end on that note or not...or try to get in another round before the end of the year. Definitely won't be in 60° weather.

Screw that noise. I walked 12 through 18 yesterday which are our flat holes pushing my regular cart. In anticipation of freely walking along I really felt that constant push back against me as I walked even the flatter terrain.

I saw a couple using them last year and I was immediately jealous. They said that they love theirs but when they told me the price it was iffy.

The 3 bills off helped and wifey said you didn't get anything for your 60th last month and I don't haver anything for Christmas for you so just order it. $1380.00 out the door. At $30.00 a pop for cart fees it'll actually work out cheaper in a couple of seasons.

I need to do a repair on the brake on my Clicgear 3.0 cart...not that the brake is really all that needed.
