Hm. Seriously considering some cheap flights down to Tampa. That could be fun. Or maybe a camping trip to Western PA? Any good camping on the way from either Syracuse or Buffalo?

Eh, I didn't. The only trade I didn't like was Despres for Lovejoy. I liked everything else he did, even if they didn't work out. His other glaring mistake was hiring Johnston, but he fixed that. Can't blame Rutherford for the playoff performance, Pens were missing 5 of top 6 D? Something crazy like that.

On the other hand, picking up Kessel at a discount, Hagelin for Perron, Daley for Scuderi, and hiring Sullivan have been home runs. If Rutherford can trade away Kunitz in the offseason, he'll be in my good books for a while. (Lovejoy too please.)

There are some decent camping spots along 79 north of Cranberry. A couple state grounds. Bear Run is a campsite that's probably 90 minutes from Pittsburgh. Moraine State Park is nearby, with Lake Arthur.

They will be back and possibly better than ever and this is 1 hell of a good reason why I have no interest in kicking the Caps while they are down.

Emotions + Internet Forums are always a bad combination. Today is another day.

Good series, could have gone either way. Loved the graphic referencing the last team to blow a 3 goal lead in a deciding playoff game, just as they cut to Kessel sitting on the bench :mad2:

Kick away, man. We've seen this movie too many times to actually believe the ending will change. It won't.

Until it does, of course, and they surprise us all. And this is why we fans are stupid, we always get sucked into believing. :)

As long as Caps don't panic with any off-season moves, they have a pretty solid roster going forward. Group of young, skilled forwards to support Ovi, and Calrson / Holtby at the back end is a pretty dynamic duo. I have a feeling we won't need to wait another 7 years for these two teams to face off in the playoffs again.

Kind of hope they drop the whole divisional playoff thing though. I understand splitting up the conferences, but I just don't think it makes sense at the divisional level.

Vacationland Campground and Goddard State Park at Lake Wilhelm are at the Sandy Lake exit #129. Highly recommended.

Bear run is only about 40-50 minutes from Pittsburgh, Vacationland about 90 minutes.

The Pens really had Ovie's number in this series. Coach deserves a lot of credit for having his team and his goalie ready for all the one timers that it took Washington 6 games to figure out weren't working.

I want you Caps fans to k ow (even though you wont feel any better) that I love you guys. Seriously, you're great people and I want OV to get the Cup so badLy...just never at Pens expense. He deserves it. Caps need another solid dman and they're even better next year.

Also, PHIL FUCKING KESSEL is the man. He gets shit all the time, but what a game.
Would your team kindly start paying the $1.2 mil/yr of his contract they aren't? Thx.

Congrats on the run to Pens fans, even if it means the Leafs' second 1st rounder keeps falling and falling in position :pout:

Elliotte Friedman was saying post-game that Pens fans wanted to run Jim Rutherford out of town last year at this time and since then he brought in guys like Kessel, Hagelin, and Bonino. Pretty good work by JR.

B-B-B-But what are their Corsi numbers, IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW IF THEY'RE GOOD.

I would go to Tampa, you can probably get a decently cheap flight (I can get one from here in Columbus to Tampa for 50 bucks) but getting game tickets down there will be a lot easier. You can probably make the whole trip for what it would cost you to scalp some tix in Pitt.

Plus, you can hang out on Madeira beach when not at the game. I love Madeira beach.

One more time for the road:

Brooks Orpik is stupid.

I just saw Bonino had a 92.6 PDO in last seasons playoffs and its at 108 so far these playoffs ... nice reversal of fortune!
