I just saw Bonino had a 92.6 PDO in last seasons playoffs and its at 108 so far these playoffs ... nice reversal of fortune!

He's punching far above his weight class, which is perfectly fine in the playoffs.

great PDO's in Anaheim during the playoffs too ... playing with Sulky Vrbata may have been the problem last season ... man they should have just traded Vrbata after last season

Pretty damn good 12 hours....first, Pens knock off Caps to move on and then I nailed my Surface Warfare Officer board (a major box checked off towards next promotion)!


Of course, the downside is, the only game of the series I got to see was when we pulled in just long enough to watch them lose game 5...oh well. I'll take it.

Vacationland Campground and Goddard State Park at Lake Wilhelm are at the Sandy Lake exit #129. Highly recommended.

Bear run is only about 40-50 minutes from Pittsburgh, Vacationland about 90 minutes.

yeah, Ohiopyle is another very nice place I'd recommend.....about 45-50 minutes from Pittsburgh.

Really? I guess I've never driven straight from Moraine to downtown, and it's really a straight shot...always seemed to take forever to get home as a kid, and we lived in the north hills.

Thought Ovechkin had a couple of glaring "Ooopsies" during game 6... Let an easy puck out of the zone during one of the last power plays... Completely wiffed on a one-timer opportunity at one point...

...And does it seem to anyone else that the Caps were getting REALLY predictable with Ovechkin? Did he have any shots in this game that didn't come from wide out left? Heck, they showed on the one power play where they scored that when they finally rotated Ovechkin around to the right, BOOM... Goal. (Not by Ovie mind you, but...).

Not trying to tear into the guy, but I didn't think he had the greatest game last night...

I was thinking the same thing on the late power plays ... all they were doing was setting up OV for one timers above the faceoff circle wide ... change it up ... everyone sees it coming ... feed Carlson ... finally they do ... and bang ... a pp goal

just before that Carlson goal ... there was one save by Murray where he totally pushed off to play the OV one timer and actually overcommitted and got himself out of position ... lucky for him he saved/smothered it and didnt give up a rebound because the cage was empty ... was thinking at that point ... if OV fakes the one timer and does a quick tap back to Carlson they have an open net

yeah, it would definitely be a bit of a hike coming from the north. it just popped to mind because I pretty much grew up there. My parents live about 10 minutes away.

They will be back and possibly better than ever and this is 1 hell of a good reason why I have no interest in kicking the Caps while they are down.

Yes and No. After next year, they'll start to run into some cap serious cap problems. They only have 3 forwards signed past next season, OV Backstrom and Beagle. Oshie, Williams, Kuznetsov, Burakovsky, Alzner, and Schmidt are all RFA/UFAs next summer. This offseason they could make a movie about as big as the Oshie deal last summer to try to make a even larger push for next season, but that'd be on the high end of what they would do.
