OV takes the heat as the captain and best player, but Backstrom was pretty invisible in this series against the Pens.

Also, it'd be really swell if the new team in the expansion draft took Orpik off our hands....

COLORADO. It's a matter of when not if Colorado makes a dumb move this offseason.

He played a solid role defensively, but the guy I'm literally not sure if he played is Kuznetsov.

Really? I guess I've never driven straight from Moraine to downtown, and it's really a straight shot...always seemed to take forever to get home as a kid, and we lived in the north hills.
Ditto. But when I was a kid the speed limit on I-79 was 55, so that may have had something to do with it. Was it the same with you?

Yeah, but that's only because OV didn't will Backstrom to play better.

North of Cranberry opens up to 65, Cranberry all the way through Washington is 55. Down my way (Waynesburg) they actually just bumped it up to 70.

Which I love, BTW. When I drive from Charlotte to Buffalo I'm on 79 in PA all the way from the WV state line up until 90 around Erie. The extra MPH on the limit saves me a fair amount of time.

I was out with coworkers last weekend in Morgantown, drinks were had through the evening, I only had like 3 beers in a six hour period, so I was indeed sober. But when I crossed into PA I had to do a double take. Very nice to not have to bump down cruise control. It's a pretty uncrowded and easy stretch from there to Washington, so it always ticked me off.

Let's send them Ben Lovejoy then. I'd like to see Pouliot get a full season, and I'd rather it not be at Daley's expense.

I have great news for you: Ben Lovejoy's contract is up after this season. Pens UFAs: Lovejoy, Cullen (I think this may be it for him though, there was comments from a teammate during playoffs that indicate he's retiring), Zatkoff, Kevin Porter, Tom Sestito, Kael Moullerat. RFAs: Schultz, Bennett. They're in a good place.

So basically everyone not under contract next year is expendable. Wouldn't mind bringing back Schutlz for another year, though.

Maybe we can send them Cole, then. :thumb:

I was thinking Kunitz...honestly he's the worst contract on the books, and it's not awful. How about...Kunitz for Tyson Barrie? ONCE IN A LIFETIME OFFER, AVS!

It's also a natural diuretic.

My mom has her signature holiday drink: Poinsettia. Cranberry juice, vodka, champagne. It's fantastic. Unless it's the end of the night and there's a pitcher left and you don't want to waste that so you finish the whole thing in like 15 minutes and your stomach cramps up the entire night because holy cranberry juice.

I still get pissed off by the ridiculously long stretch of 55 MPH around Pittsburgh. The signs say it will be something like 23 miles and it ends up bein 50 :gaah:
