The Bears made some moves today... it would be pretty interesting to be a fly on Pace's wall.
C Will Montgomery was moved to season ending IR with broken leg
Waived LB John Timu, P Spencer Lanning.
Bears have signed to the active roster:
S Sherrod Martin
OT Nick Becton
Signed to the Practice Squad:
C Barrett Jones
DL Brandon Dunn
Barrett Jones is a name many know- former center of National Champs Alabama. Was a 4th round pick in '13 but has had some injuries that have kept him off the field- ankle and back (I think) Is this just a depth signing with the loss of the starting center, or do the Bears not have as much faith in Grasu? Jones was a pretty big leader for Alabama if I remember correctly.
Sharrod Martin has started 36 games for the Panthers earlier in his career. Was with the Bears for training camp. Should be able to jump back into the scheme easily.
No news on if Alshon Jeffery will return from his injuries yet, but I'm hopeful he does... KC gave up 5 TD passes to GB and is giving up an average of over 31 points per game. And GB sacked Alex Smith 7 times- granted they were passing a lot to get back in the game<hope?
