This entire time, I was expecting us to carry 2 QB's. That situation would have made it difficult to justify cutting Gabbert's guaranteed contract and bringing in another guy.

But now that it appears the 49ers do want 3 QB's, I would much rather have BJ Daniels over Johnson.

I'm crossing my fingers hoping that the 49ers will not find room for a third QB. I would love to see Daniels on the Seahawks practice squad.

J.Johnson will be dropped and they will pick up Daniels IMO. I have a feeling that the 9ers aren't so sure about Gabbert as they say they are. Three QBs on the roster this season.

I don't see how Daniels is THAT much better than Johnson, but whatever. I do feel we should have 3 QB's.

He's not really that much better ,but having a back-up QB with knowledge of the 'Hawks offense would be a plus.

I think the whole thing about knowing the rival's offense is a bit overrated. I remember 49er fans being nevous about a former 49er QB giving Green Bay that information and it really didn't appear to help GB much

GB has not been an issue for a few years...the 'Hawks are.

This was right before the NFC championship game where Kaepenick torched them. Some 49er fans thought that ex-player could provide info that would help GBs defense control the 49er offense. It didn't happen.

Browns signed two cut 49ers to their 53-man roster. OL Ryan Seymour and RB Glenn Winston.

Damn, I liked Winston.
