The first post you made this morning was to 'bump' a post about ignoring you. Clearly it bothers or amuses you.

The idea that rooting against the Steelers is anything like rooting agains the Bengals or any of the Bengals players is ludicrous. I root against the Steelers because I don't want them getting on a roll. I want them so far back that they consider resting an 'injured' Big Ben when we play them in December. I'd like that win. I also hate them and can't stand rooting for them. As for players.... I'd never put my like/hate of a player over and above my like/hate for a team. Players are too transient. I root for laundry.

:agree:

Damn, that's like...2-2.

It definitely amuses me. I, like some others, don't take this board seriously.

Rooting against the Steelers and hoping they lose when a Steelers win would undoubtedly help the Bengals is stupid.

The #2 seed ship has sailed. We'll be the #4.

Chiefs
Pats
Colts
Bengals
Broncos
Jets/Browns/Chargers?

That ship has not sailed yet. Granted, it got a whole lot tougher if NE is going to continue to play like this. That was a lot of offense from a team with no offense.

Hopefully they don't contiue to play like that.

Indy will be tough, but they are up and down also.

Plus, KC has not won crap yet, they still have to play Denver twice.

They beat the Cowboys by 1 point while in Arrowhead, and outside the Cowboys, who have not had a great record either, they have not played a single team with an above .500 record. Everyone else has been well under .500 for the most part (Titans at 4-4).

Combined, their opponents records are: 27-49

Jags, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Titans, Raiders, Texans, Browns, Bills

Not exactly murderers row there to begin their schedule.

They still have to play the Broncos twice, the Chargers twice, Washington in DC, and the Colts.

I bet they lose at the very least 3 of those games with a better chance of 4 or more.

Chargers are the best of those 3, although it would be fun to have the Browns in the playoffs.
The Jets are probably the worst franchise in team sports right now, they should just disband and save New York some dignity, at least they still have the Giants.

I'd be excited to play any of the potential wildcard teams.... They all have flaws and we'd get them at home.

Why would you say that? Because we beat them so badly?

They are in second place in the East with a 5-4 record with a rookie QB. I would not exactly call them the worst team in team sports.

Jags, Buccs maybe...not the Jets.

There are 8 weeks remaining, and 7 games left for the Bengals. Everything is still in play, from the #1 seed to not making the playoffs altogether. Still way too early to lock anything in. There's still not a game left on the schedule that the Bengals cannot win, or lose for that matter.

Man, before this last game, we were going 13-3 and only losing to Baltimore in Baltimore.

Now you are etching this one in stone.

Perhaps you should just let things play out instead of expecting certain things. We could still miss the playoffs. You never know. Cleveland or Baltimore gets hot, we start a bad losing streak because of injuries, maybe we go on a 7-1 run the last half of the season like we did last year.

Who knows what is going to happen. This is the NFL. If you base things on past performances by any team, and expect wins or losses, you are bound to be disappointed, as any given week, any team can beat another, well, except maybe Jacksonville..haha.

Just chillax and let things unfold instead of having certain expectations at this point.

Winning the next two would put us in a great position regarding the division. If we do that, then we can evaluate where we stand on seeding during the bye.
