Not from a playing against him stand point. But from a draft perspective. The Texans need a QB. If they are planning to draft one now, depending on who is still on the board, 17 could become trade bait. Say the QB market falls in such a way that all four (Watson, Trubisky,Kizer and Mahomes) are still on the board at 17 meaning the Jets and Browns both thought they could wait til the 2nd to snag the QB of choice. We could offer to swap spots with the Texans, giving them their choice of QB and we could draft the DL, ILB or RB at 25.

Alot of rangling still to be done in the next 24 days. And one or two of these cant miss players that some are drooling over, are going to slip. It happens every year.

I think it would all depend on who we had targeted in the first round. If we can still get our guy at 25 a second and say a 5th might get it done

They might be looking for QB. But they might be as impressed with some of the defensive players as some on this board are. So there is a chance they think they can get a kizzer or mahomes in round two. I don't think there is a top 15 qb in this draft. But then again teams do make the desperation pick all the time. So as i said in the beginning it will depend on who is on the board when our pick comes up. If the Jets and cards take qb in the first, the Texans could panic as well

He might. My personal 2 favorites are Kizer and mahomes though. I wouldn't be surprised by the 4 of them going in any order.

Tony Romo retiring hurts us, not helps us. My God, no more last minute blunders and head scratchers to laugh your ass off over. No more of the biggest bust in NFL (RG3) giving him advice on the sideline after games. I wonder if this is how T.O felt as he faked cried over Tony after he tossed yet another game away. Good gosh those were fun times. Gonna miss Tony Ohno terribly. Hope he doesn't choke on the mic in the studio. Pulling for him.

I agree with this, how the media and outside professionals rate this year's prospects vs what nfl teams feel often is totally different. I'm not sold the Jets won't draft a QB, but regardless of what they do someone likely won't pass on Watson at 17. Also, there is no way Cleveland waits til the 2nd round for a QB. It would be a better problem to find out Brock fits the system well than realize he is a total fail and you passed on a QB twice!!

Cleveland won't wait unless the top two are gone by 12. They have too many picks not to draft one. That being said, I would try to trade and get another first next year if I am Cleveland, not waste a QB pick this season.

unless I've overlooked a team, the Texans would probably have the most to offer in 2017.
We likely would miss out on ILB, RB & OLB trading down to get an extra 2nd. Maybe that wouldn't be worth it after all

we already have 10 picks so if that goes down i would as gm ask for 2018 2nd and a 5th for 2018
