Fed looked like he hurt his lower back. Some of his first serves were under 100. Sasha is going to be number 1 by this time next year. Would not surprise me if he starts winning Majors, maybe even the USO.

I laughed at the "Marin County Cilic" nickname.

I cringed at the "A2Z" nickname.

But that's Brad Gilbert for you.

His nickname of "Double J" for Jankovic was not one of my favorites either.

I still don't see one shot he has that's noticeable. I guess it's his overall movement combined with not really having weaknesses that makes him good.

Fed doesn't lose 3 and 4 unless there is something wrong. He didn't quit like Nole or Nishikoru or Nadal either.

That was my impression of Roger's game yesterday too.

And Zverev is not far off your prediction too.

Think Nole only with bigger strokes.

I'll think about that next time.

It also helped me that Nole was facing FED, Nadal in 2007, and played them well.

Even though FED won in straight sets at the USO in 2007, that was one of the tightest 3 setters I'd seen.

Zverev needs a few more matches like that in majors against the top players.

Zverev has a bigger serve than Djokovic did at the same point in his career. But it was easier for me to see Djokovic's relentlessness even in 2007.

Zverev loses tamely against Tiafoe. A moment of silence for those that thought he beat Fed fair and square!! Fed beat this guy in straight sets recently when he was healthy!
