shoulda left the last five words off
ok, I'm going to agree with him just to piss
better
shoulda left the last five words off
LOL..."the only reason anyone thinks he's any good is because he was the most dominant player of his era and won a bunch of championships"
And Malone had a pretty good alternative to Magic...and didn't win a fucking thing...
and if Wilt couldn't humiliate Russell? I find the notion that the 90's Carlos Boozer would've fared any better...well...rather stupid.
Denver's coach, Doug Moe, looked like a potential serial killer.
Thurl Bailey had better goggles than Worthy. But to be fair, Scottie Pippen farts shit over James Worthy in the SF department.
And Malone had a pretty good alternative to Magic...and didn't win a fucking thing...i think that had something to do with a Michael Jordan, more than anything...
Now that's taking it way too fucking far...
I see Malone as either a really really rich man's Zach Randolph or a really rich man's "in his physical prime" Amare Stoudamire...
Definitely two cases of what could have been.
Best thing that ever happened to Bard was being moved to the bullpen-should have left him there.
Worst thing that ever happened to Joba was being moved to the bullpen. Got the Yanks in the playoffs that year, but at too high a cost, IMO.
He was consumed with basketball like so many other coaches. It's just what he did. Like breathing.
Worthy was as close 2 a 1 dimensional player as there was anyway.
His main move was to hold the ball in one hand up in the air or sideways, and try to beat his defender with a first step, other than that, he had the greatest passer in the games history hitting him on a fast break for an easy dunk.
Seems justifiable to make him a top 5 player of all time when he wasnt even the best SF for one god damn year.
neither of which is very far from Boozer...
It is very unpopular to render anything but dutiful worship to Bill Russell in Boston. I know that. He has 11 rings and he was a nice guy.
And Malone had a pretty good alternative to Magic...and didn't win a fucking thing...QUOTE]
i think that had something to do with a Michael Jordan, more than anything...
MAN, does this thread suck today...all this barking about how Jerry Sichsting should be in the hall of fame over Michael Cooper...?
or anyone that knows basketball from an historic perspective
malone over russell?
epic stupidity
You should do a little research on James Worthy in the 1988 and 1989 Championship.
Playing together...stockton and malone were knocked out of the first round of the playoffs...9 times.
I disagree...
Looking for the only other person that thinks Malone > Russell?
