Jimmy Garapolo has a better case for MVP than Gronk, IMO.

SF became the first 0-9 team in NFL history to win more than three games - finishing 6-10 (5-0 with Jimmy Garoppolo under center). Obviously he won't win it, nor should win it, but he's meant as much to his team as any other player in the NFL.
