Not sure, ghost runners kind of fuck a lot of things up. It's an inherited runner and wasn't an earned run, but whether or not he sees a blown save on his stats, the chance to win the game on his arm was lost. He did work out of a jam to give them a chance, but the damage was done.Does that count as a blown save with the runner on 2nd BS?
He was bad enough that I had to check to make sure Angel Hernandez hadn't snuck onto the field out of retirement.Umpires need to be replaced. All of them.
that sucked
munoz was due
i'm very disappointed in bryce miller. he's better than this.
Ya he hasn't even been close on his pitches which runs his numbers up into the 20's per inning. Unacceptable. He is showing he is a T-Mobile made pitcher. Outside of there he is barely average. Maybe not even that.No question about the A's being a solid lineup.
Miller hasn't been able to get out of the 6th inning in any of his starts. His season has disappointing by any metric. But plenty of starts left to find his fastball again. I believe he'll get back his pervious form. Just a question of when.
It does count as a blown save. Imo it shouldn't, allowing the ghost runner to tie the game in extras, but nothing else should NOT be a blown save. It's stupid, but there seems to be a lot of stupid in MLB these days.Does that count as a blown save with the runner on 2nd BS?
A lot but in this case he had a man on 3B in the bottom of the 11th with one out so he walked the next batter. Then he walked the next guy who was a lefty but was batting .160ish vs righties. Now the bases are loaded with Wilson up who hits .450 (RISP I think) or something with only 6 K's all year. He always makes contact was the point and of course like he did in the 9th or 10th to tie it he did it again to win it. I didn't like the move because it forces a low end pitcher to throw strikes or walk in the winning run.Can someone fill me in on what Dan did that set everyone off?
I told my brother the same thing when he was cut. My only ounce of hesitation was his $3.something left on his contract.I knew Dipoto was going to try to get Leody Taveras the moment the Rangers cut him. This is such a Dipoto move. This guy's ceiling is about on par with Jesse Winkler and Al Martin.
