Odor has earned all the criticism he's getting. He's hitting in the 130's and his defense has been poor. And yet he plays everyday while a guy in the bench his hitting over 300. He has reverted back to the player he was 2 years ago. The worst position player in the league.

You are missing the point. It is the repetitive posts that get old.

No argument re his total underachieving at the plate but you are mistaken over all on his defense.

The only reason Dowdy is on this team is he's a rule 5 guy. Send him back to the Mets.

He actually was before the injury but was hitting right at guys. But we have a person on this board with very little baseball sense to notice that. So thanks for calling that out. He takes good cuts and does not seemed to be overmatched most of the time. We need to see what we have in Guzman for a couple of years to see if we have an Adrian Gonzalez type player.

Today in Texas History

1953 - In Waco, TX, a tornado killed 114 people and 196 businesses were completely destroyed.

1964 - Construction began on the Toledo Bend Reservoir. The reservoir occupies parts of Newton, Sabine, Panola, and Shelby counties in Texas and Sabine and De Soto parishes in Louisiana. The dam was completed in 1969.

1970 - Lubbock, TX, was hit by a tornado. Twenty-six people were killed and more than $135 million in damage was caused.

1995 - B. B. King, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, and Double Trouble, filmed "Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan" for Austin City Limits.

2003 - Rafael Palmeiro (Texas Rangers) hit his 500th career home run to become only the 19th player in baseball history to reach the mark.

2016 - The ATF announced that the fire that had led to the explosion at the West Fertilizer Company was intentionally set. The explosion on April 17, 2013, killed 15 and injured more than 160.

It seems to me that was on Mother's Day. But that is just a guess.

I don't understand, given the outcomes so far, why Jurado hasn't replaced someone in the rotation yet? Here they have Mendez, Burke and Hearn all hurt and they put Jurado in the pen. Had those other three guys been healthy then they could use Jurado in the pen, but as it is, they really need him to be in a rotation. It is like they are trying their best to not have an alternative to Smyly and Miller.
