Jay fan's camp following thread has got me paying closer attention to which players are doing well, and, more importantly, which players are doing poorly.

So I figured we could run a thread of whose stock is up and whose is down...

Not sure if I can count Reily Reif, as he's already the starter. But I've only read and heard good things about our former champion wrestler/left tackle. So ^^^Reif^^^.

The 4th round pick Thomas had some good press the other day. I think he could get into the rotation with a good camp......

Are you speaking of Devin Taylor? Yes, he is learning new techniques quick from reading about him. Adding a bullrush in first week. Bodes well for his chances for cracking a rotation.

Yes my bad I keep thinking Derrick Thomas the ex Chiefs player when I try to remember Taylor. Maybe thats a good omen.

This would be a awesome draft(2013) if he sticks. Landing two starting DE's, and with that the front four locked down for seeable future. Learning from two vets in II and JJ.

I haven't looked, so what is everyone hearing about Riddick and why he's "falling"? Just curious as he is a Domer and would like to see any of them do well. Plus he is a good kid.

Not so much anything he's doing as what Steven Miller has done so far. Those two would appear to be in a battle for the 5th and final spot on the RB chart, so he's a "faller" in the sense that he may be out of a roster spot- though not really through any fault of his own.

I don't think Riddick or Fuller, our other 6th round pick this year, can be considered roster locks right now due to the depth and competition at their respective positions. We may have to try to sneak them through waivers at the end of the preseason and hope to smuggle them onto the practice squad...

I don't think many 6th round picks can ever be considered locks on a roster. I knew it wouldn't be easy for Riddick to make the team. However, I thought with our RB crew, he could've found a way. Camp isn't over and he may shine in the preseason games, who knows?

Joeseph Fauria is definitely fallen in my book. IMO Williams will take the last TE spot unless Veldman the ex-Jag takes it. Reading many tweets and quotes of him getting beat bad by guys I have not heard of!! Then getting chippy after getting beat.

So I would say
Riser
Mike Williams

Faller
Joe Fauria

Oh for sure. Nothing is set yet, not by a long shot. Just because he's on the fallers list early on don't mean shit...

They knew coming in that blocking was not his forte. The average TE will get beat by the average DE in one-on-one blocking drills... But I still agree with you that Williams gets that spot...

I think they could keep both. Williams is not really a TE in my book. The guy cant catch and his 40 could be timed on a sun dial. Williams is just an extra Lineman.

Fauria makes it if he shows he can make receptions and run sharp routes. Williams makes it if they decide they don't have enough Tackles and beats out Veldman.

Makes me nervous to dismiss Fauria when Sheff is most likely gone after this year.

True true... Tpaul made reference to this earlier with Williams filling the "Reiff" role. I do feel if they keep 3 Fauria is odd man out, for fact he is not a blocker.
