How long until we see or hear about him in a Lions uni?

He will be here in few days. He was underachieving in Miami and got hurt last year so... I did read he was great locker room presence, so he fits our mold.

He was solid with the Panthers and had a good year in Arizona. Hurt all but 4 games last year in Miami. The article I read said Miami is open to bringing him back at a lower price.

He's younger and more talented than recently signed Rashean Mathis, so I'd have to think we'd at least kick the tires on him.

From what I remember reading about him a few years ago the 1st time he was a free agent is that he's a good tackler and better in zone than man. Sounds like he'd be a great bet as a safety/nickel combo. We have an opening on the depth chart at safety and with Carey's performance scaring the crap out of everyone last week Marshal would be an upgrade somewhere in our secondary. If he's good on special teams like the Cards fan says then all the better...

No joke watch Petersons punt returns and watch Marshall on the outside great blocker gave Patrick enough space to work. We should of never got rid of him because when Rodes went down he also could play safety and actually did a pretty solid job.

He can have Wendling's spot. We can not afford to have specialists taking up roster spots. I always hated that idea. When we become a dominant team and have an immense talent base, then we can think about specialists. We are nowhere near that yet and have not been for quite some time.
