If we hadn't resigned Curry to big money I'd likely still be on the Lawson train ... but I just think we're good at DE at the moment. Curry will finally get the PT he's long been deserving of as an every down End. Graham and Barwin give you some talent at the other End spot and Marcus Smith's strengths may come out with Schwartz' scheme. Nothing against Lawson as you know I really like him as a prospect ... I just don't see enough snaps to go around at the position to use the 8th pick in the draft on. Zeke on the other hand comes in as the centerpiece to the Offense.

No Question Zeke is an absolute stud....Rb at 8 just kills me....Connor Barwin is no nfl DE....he either gets traded or plays OLB, he is not a DE. Lawson, Curry, Logan and Cox makes up a very nice D-line with Graham and Smith rotating with Curry and Lawson and if I have my way this guy in rd 4 rotating in at DT
2016 Draft Prospects: Hassan Ridgeway, DT, Texas

I've been reading that Schwartz has plans for Barwin as a hybrid who will split time as a rush LB and rotational End. I actually think Barwin will be an integral part of the Defense ... I don't see him going anywhere.

Yeah I don't see Barwin going anywhere either, not this year at least.

They have to say that. I want no parts of a skinny ass De playing for us. He looks like he is 240 pounds.

They have no depth at DE so he basically has to stay at least one year. But look for them to add DEs and DTs in this draft that fit the 4-3 scheme.

It is true that you can't take what is said regarding players at face value this time of year ... but I think in Barwin's case it's true. Schwartz like's fast/athletic Ends and Barwin is that. I think he will also be involved in packages where he lines up at the LB spot as a blitzer.
