Review of the Bucs' Minor League System

It's been a while since I read John Perrotto..... but lacking much good to read about the Pirates (or the Steelers) today, I made a rare visit to timesonline.com, and found the following summary by Perrotto about our minor league teams and players.

Worth a read if you're into that sort of thing and includes a few surprises..... e.g., Gregory Polanco was chosen (over Alen Hanson) as the Most Outstanding Major League Prospect in the Sally League.

Pretty good read. Not really a lot of surprises. I think Polanco is a better prospect than Hansen unless Hansen stops slumping in the second half of each season. He also has to play better at short or he loses defensive value.
It is hard to believe that with all the money we have spent on draft picks over the last few years that our top prospects are all International signees.
