:agree: but.....I hope they stay put.
You and me both - The Chargers in San Diego serves the NFL down in the southern part, the middle part of Ca by the Rams and the Raiders for Northern Ca. That is three teams already in Ca - that's more then what most states have. It's plenty

That's too man teams for me. What I think would be nice is for St Louis to get it together and finance a new state of the art stadium and bring in another team that is looking to move or bring in the 49ers. Four teams is way more than what one state needs.

As we discuss this, the 49ers easily have the best stadium in Cali TLF, they're not going anywhere.

Levi's Stadium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
None of them are leaving California. The market is too big to ignore. Even without a team in Los Angeles, the last 20 years, we still three teams in Ca. That says it all and the Rams are already projecting 90,000 tickets to be sold where they could barely squeak out 60K in St Louis and they already have hit the ceiling on day one for season ticket holders waiting list. The owner of the Rams is a happy man right now

Uh, you have four teams in California TLF. Rams, Raiders, Chargers, 49ers. Unless you have not made the mental note transition that the Rams are back in LA then it would be three.

3 teams in much smaller NY and Florida. 2 NoCal and 2 SoCal makes sense based on population.

The Chargers are LA bound; it just hasn't been finalized yet. Ignoring the Niners doesn't mean they don't exist either, lol.

The 49ers used to be one of the top teams every year. I think my all time favorites have always been the 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.

Recent reports (NBCSPORTS, etc.) are stating that the Chargers and Rams have run into an impasse in their negotiations about sharing the new stadium. Demoff of course has retorted the story by Steve Hartman out of San Diego. The next to last paragraph in the included story is the key: Kroneke is going to do what is best for him and his franchise. Emphasis on the latter. History is replete with evidence that when Demoff is trotted out to take the heat, the story has merit. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Kevin Demoff: Chargers-Rams impasse story is “completely false”

On Monday, Steve Hartman of XTRA Sports 1360 in San Diego stirred up the San Diego relocation story by reporting that an impasse has arisen between the Chargers and Rams regarding the sharing of a stadium in Inglewood.

On Tuesday morning, the Rams went on the record to dispute the report from Hartman, for which he cited an unnamed Rams official.

“The Steve Hartman story is completely false,” Rams COO Kevin Demoff told PFT by email.

It’s unclear whether the Chargers and Rams are making progress toward a deal because the Chargers and Rams have agreed not to publicly discuss the situation. And while there are reasons to wonder whether Rams owner Stan Kroenke would be interested in hoarding the L.A. market by driving too hard of a bargain with the Chargers now and the Raiders later, multiple league sources continue to insist that Kroenke has provided assurances that he’ll cooperate with the Chargers, and that the NFL has power to squeeze Kroenke, by for example not giving him Super Bowls or other stuff, if he ultimately freezes out the Chargers and the Raiders.

So, basically, the Rams say there is no impasse. Whether or not a deal ever gets done remains to be seen.

When does the site get updated to show the new city name?
I'll talk to @HammerDown about it ramulance, although I know he's been ultra busy because he said as much in a PM to me earlier today.

As I recall, there were a few tweaks that people brought up after the fact on the banner too, so maybe we can get @WestEndVol to make the city change and get to them tweaks as well? IDK if he still has the file or not.

The Rams' board members need to come to a consensus on those minor changes so we have our act when we send the actual request in.

I'll get a hold of @Retroram52 to get the process started.

Chargers staying in San Diego for at least 2016, but have a stadium agreement with the Rams for 2017 and beyond if they can't get a stadium deal in San Diego.
