Hmmmm.. Some interesting developments in the league??
Siemen in a walking boot, ouch!! Dudes a good player.. The Paxton Lynch era just might start in Denver?!

Gronk to have surgery, DAMN!! Huge blow to that team..

Sammy Watkins foot hurting.. Hmmmm

And of course the most important finger in football Derek Carr!! But he's a full go..
Injury's are starting to hurt teams big time.. We have a lot of players hurting as well.. Starters!!
Amerson, DJ Hayden, Riley, Latham, etc, etc..

I wouldn't say any of those equate to the Patriots losing Gronk. There are 2 players the Patriots absolutely cannot lose and Gronk is one of those. For you guys that is Carr and Mack. Either of those guys go down for an extended time the season is very much in jeopardy.

Gronk being done gives me a lot more hope that an AFC West team can actually take down the Patriots.

No doubt dude.. But still injury's hurt teams regardless.. A lot of times, some of those low key guys getting hurt really hurt teams.. It's not always the sexy name that hurts teams.. Would you agree with not having CJ Anderson has hurt you guys?? And he's not on the same level as Gronk..
Oh, you guys ready for the Paxton Lynch era?? He looked alright from the few times i seen him play..

And i disagree with the Pats being beatable just cuz Gronk is out..
Gronk or not that team don't look like the same team.. All 4 teams in the AFCW could beat them no problem, imo

OH I agree they still hurt. I'm not arguing that point. I'm saying that there are just certain players that just mean that much. Such as in the 17 games that Gronk has missed since 2010 Brady's passer rating is 84.4. IN the 86 games he has played his QB rating is 104.5. That is a huge difference and how teams have to play the Patriots to account for Gronk. I saw another stat that showed the team averages almost a touchdown difference in the games he has played compared to the ones he hasn't. That is like going from a top-5 offense to bottom-10 in the league on offense. HUGE difference.

So yes the Anderson injury hurts the Broncos but not even close to that kind of level. Heck we just had maybe our best offensive game of the season without him against maybe the best defense we have played all year.

As for the Paxton Lynch era I have been pounding the table for him for a long time. I said clear back last November that the Broncos should do whatever it took to get this guy and let Brock walk. Didn't think we had a chance as at that time he was being talked about as a #1 overall pick. I like Siemian but he to me is not the future of this team at the QB position.

And yes I did think all 3 of the AFC West teams could beat the Patriots even with Gronk. The task is much easier now though for all of our teams and it makes getting home field advantage for the Patriots that much harder. They have not won the Super Bowl without having homefield throughout the playoffs if I remember right.

I just don't really agree with the logic you have for injured players..
When teams lose starters it hurts said teams period dude.. And i agree with the Pats losing Gronk will hurt them, but they have Bennet who himself is a starter as well.. So i mean, they will still be pretty good..

cd, you have been pounding that Paxton Lynch drum, i heard about it all offseason..
Well now he's your starter dude.. And the Jags are a pretty good team to have his first start against..
That's a fast young defense that he will play against..

I see you said all 3 teams could beat the Pats.. I assume you left out the Bolts??
I think the Bolts would beat them right now if they were to play.. They have a good defense, can run the ball and we all know Rivers can chuck it.. All those key injuries and snake bit losses to start the year did them in, or they would be right there in the mix with us..

Man, the Bills look like a solid team sporting the 1 rank rush O along with a pretty good Rex Ryan coach Defense..
Here we have a team playing for it's season and maybe even coach.. I mean, so ya just know they will be game come game time!!

The RAIDERS need to be ready for this Bills team that's for sure.. It's crunch time baby, and the only thing that matters is JUST WIN BABY

Well, here are the keys to victory for every team playing this weekend
Run the ball, stop the run, hit the QB limit mistakes and win the TO battle, and the QB will take care of the rest..
Simple and yet not easy to do..

Idaho I don't know how else to say this. Yes all injuries hurt. I have never disputed that. Some injuries hurt more than others. Such as you guys just lost Hayden for the season. He has had a decent season so that injury hurts but that impact would be nowhere near the impact of losing either Carr or Mack for the season. Gronk is the single biggest impact player on offense outside of the QB position in the NFL. So losing such a player for the season is huge for the Patriots. They can still win and they were still beatable even with Gronk but that loss is huge for them.

I understand what you saying cd.. The thing here is, all starters that get injured have the same effect on all teams.. The only one that truly hurts and can't be replaced is the STAR QB, and even then the Pats proved they could WIN without Brady.. See their start to this season, and the 11-5 Cassel year..

Here's an example?? Say if we were to play the Pats right now without DJ Hayden which sucks losing him, and Amerson as well as our starting Mike in Riley would the Pats score on us without Gronk?? Of course the would?!
To many KEY players missing.. So you really can't put a value on which players injured would hurt teams.. Cuz they all hurt just the same..
