I know, right! That ball that KC just lobbed up in the air, which Matt Jones caught, fumbled, and recovered, scared me to death. Alshon Jeffery caught that wide open pass. I really thought it was over after that. Then, Robbie Gould missed the field goal. We definitely dodged some bullets, today.

How about giving the ball to Jones to run the clock down? I was literally freaking out, thinking he was going to fumble...I was like please put ALF in! KC had a decent game, stats looked better than it really was though. KC still looks to have a long way to go IMO as a top 15 QB in this league.

Agreed! He has to get that head of steam, first. He's a frustrating player to watch because he has a load of talent, but because of those things you mentioned, it's clear to see why he was chosen in the 3rd round. Not to mention, many thought he was taken, too high.

well again lets give those 3rd round rookies time to grow . he isnt there yet but he is worth investing time in

He was. I wish we had a RB that was, also. Not sure what has happened to Alfred, but he is not the same RB he used to be. No explosion through the hole. One man can bring him down and that never happened when he was a rookie.

It is so sad with what has happened to him. I don't even recognize him, anymore. There was no way that Alfred would go down with the first hit. I remember, when he was one on one with Calvin Pryor and was easily tackled. Are you kidding me!? The old Alfred could shed the first tackler, no matter, who it was. Plus, he is not explosive to the hole, as he used to be, either. He seems like just another RB. His timing couldn't be worse because he's a FA after the season. He's likely gone.

PT will contribute some as the season goes on . he had a nice catch today

hey we got the win and hopefully this gives us some confidence on the road

i would hate to go to philly with that anchor around our neck

Agreed! I first thought that was Carrier, who caught that pass. Then, they said it was Pierre Thomas. I thought, "how bout dat!?"

Yeah! Lol And KC is still a work in progress. Not ready to call him the next Sammy Baugh, Sonny, Joey T. or even, Mark Rypien. His stats for this season are deceiving, especially with this league-leading completion percentage. He's thrown a ton of short and intermediate passes. Can't take that away from him, but he doesn't take a lot of chances i.e. chucking it down the field on a consistent basis. Either he doesn't have the confidence to do it or the OC or Jay Gruden don't have the confidence in him to do so.

Hence I said yet. Alfred will be gone next year so jones will get his chance to be the guy. We will not be drafting Eliot for a couple of reasons, first and foremost he won't be there when our pick comes up.

I agree! I am a huge Ezekiel Elliott fan, but he will likely be the first RB taken in the draft. Of course, he'll be gone by that time, anyhow, especially if we keep winning.

KC definitely has some learning still to do, but he is already a middle of the pack QB. Of course that's not saying much as there is a huge drop off after the top 10. While his stats in this game are very good, I was disappointed in his overall performance. The INT I'm actually ok with as it was just a bad throw. He just threw it short. What concerned me more was the jump ball he threw that jones eventually caught. That was both a bad decision and poor mechanics. I had hoped he had moved on from these type of pressured passes. I also was concerned with the 3 sacks he took. He had plenty of time to throw in the first 2, he needed to either throw it away or move out of the pocket after about 3 seconds.

IM not going to be too tough, as every QB can have an off night. He has been pretty darn good over the last 5-6 games.

Jones is a monster just like at the end of the game when he fought for that 1st down to end the game.

It was great MJ got the first down as it killed any possibility of something funky happening on 4th down. But c'mon, homey. The fact that Bears players were far more concerned with ripping the ball out of Jones grasp than tackling him was a huge assist and reason why he got those first down yards. It wasn't like he went beast-mode and overpowered or ran over anyone.

Mitz is on point at this present time. Jones is more a role player/JAG than he is the man. Reed on the other hand, can indeed become the man. He's become a much more physical runner after the catch then he used to be.

Mitz thinks that Elliot is not a first round pick. That is crazy. I said Jones is the man for us this year. I can see why SM took him that high. He has all the tools to become a franchise back. He ahs the burst to the hole and the power to run over people. That is why he was in there to run the clock out.

Oh, and for those of you keeping score and I know some of you are. While he once lagged noticeably behind in this stat. Ryan Kerrigan moved into a tie for the 14th most sacks in the NFL getting another one today pushing his total to 7.5 sacks on the year. A .5 sack more than Brian Orakpo who's been stuck on 7 for some time now.

Not sure how anyone would bust on Kerrigan with other players that actually deserve to be busted on. I'll take a guy who has played basically every snap since he's been drafted with a high motor.

I think it's pretty amazing that the Redskins manage to win ANY games after all the injuries leading to players on the IR to the starters / key contributors they've had over the season.

Let's see if I can list them all:

Preseason:
Junior Gallette, Paul, Paulsen, Adam Haywood (key special teams LB)

In Season:

Culliver, Trenton Robinson (starting S at one point), Lichtensteiger, Lavauo, Paea,

Not to mention Jeffcoat (rotational end), and Nacho (suspected starting S).

That's a whole lot of manpower to overcome!

Anyway... on to Buffalo!
