It goes for the saber geek guys too. They sucked so bad at sports, they started studying numbers and graphs to try to get back at players who didnt suck at sports. Wondering how to this day Skip Bayless finds work. My guess would be for entertainment value.

I think ox is reaching that stage in life where he's not the athlete he once was...and he sees other piles of crap like Greg Dobbs and the money they make to be bags of shit baseball players, and he hearkens back on his own mistakes and thinks "what could'a been" and this the projected roid rage after a fairly obvious observation that Greg Dobbs isn't very good in his current profession...
