You don't want my thoughts on Matt Kemp

Right there with you...had the last pick in my draft, took stanton with the 13th pick (votto at 12)....

Nava is a pipe dream, I think he could be moved but they'd need an OF'er back...in a package to Miami for Stanton (obviously not the key piece, just a cheap MLB component to be coupled with a blue chipper or 2)...

I don't think we're going to see them bring in a 3b...they have so much depth at the position...and WMB is starting to rake in the minors, and will be called back up in the next week or 2 to get a good long look before the deadline...

A right handed bat is needed, but that could very well be WMB if he comes up and produces...

I could see the Red Sox trying to go after Stanton but haven't the Marlins stated he is not going to be moved (i know things change all the time but still). WMB is coming back strong in the minors just hope it continues to the majors. I would not be shocked if the Sox tried to package Nava and WMB to get someone.

What RH hitting talent is out there that a team would even consider trading? Besides Stanton...

Yeah....this is sustainable...

(CNSNews.com) – The number of Americans receiving subsidized food assistance from the federal government has risen to 101 million, representing roughly a third of the U.S. population.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that a total of 101,000,000 people currently participate in at least one of the 15 food programs offered by the agency, at a cost of $114 billion in fiscal year 2012.

That means the number of Americans receiving food assistance has surpassed the number of private sector workers in the U.S.

The marlins should move him ASAP, he's not staying there long term, and is a FA after 2016, and theyhave zero expeactations of being competitive before then....meaning his value will only continue to drop as he becomes more costly through arbitration...

If the Sox were to go all in prospect wise on a player? That's the type of move I'd welcome...as long as Cecchini isn't involved...gotz to keepz my binky!!!

I've heard a lotta Stanton and Texas

Apparently this Profar kid can bring back a haul if Texas is willing to deal him

Well we've see what the marlins will do. So I also would not be shocked if they traded Stanton to someone for a bag of balls and a tissue....

No more than Bogaerts...very comparable trade values....

Bogaerts, nava and 2 "lesser" (but still quality) prospects should be plenty...

They can only do that if they're convinced Iggy is going to stick at short long term....

I'd rather not see him in either one of those lineups or ballparks

With Miller going down for a while, the Sox may try to get a bullpen arm.

Oh and the Sox implosion on Saturday coincided with my grabbing Koji off the waiver wire. Don't worry Sox fans -- if Koji screws the pooch, I will dump him for the good of the nation.

Stanton would be Manny v2.0 at Fenway...and as scarey as it might sound? he may have more HR potential than manny when the sox got him...might have the most raw power in baseball...he's 23, can you imagine what he's going to be like in 5 years?

Dirt, why do you think yesterday's yankee loss was worst one in past 15 years? I assume you mean regular season only

Gotta think that at some point, they are going to call up De La Rosa in a relief role....with Workman and Britton both on the 40 man, along with Webster...they have the starting pitching depth...and need the bullpen arms pretty bad right now...

Let him finish the year out in the pen, get a gauge on what his cieling is out there, and then you can always look to stretch him out next year...would be good to limit his innings this year anyway, just coming of TJ surgery like he is.

Mentioned it earlier

Yes, Reg season

Considering, aside from 2008, the yanks are a virtual lock for the postseason for the past 17 years, regular season results have possibly never been more important than this season

Toss on the toughest division I've seen in the last 20 years

Toss in a possible 7 game win streak with KC and Minny coming in

Toss in a sweep of a division rival, and a rare loss of late by the Red Sox

That was as painful as I remember

If Lackey is any indication, the Sox should force all their pitchers to get TJ surgery whether they need it or not.
