At this point Pedroia should have stayed home. So far in this series he is 0-13. And he is the leader?
I like to look at that metric.
did you catch that expose on your gm on espn last week.....aka "how to blow up a promising team in 10 easy steps"They're helpless in that regard.
The Padres are going to put together a little run and end up going after Hammels or someone else, then implode and have the worst payroll-to-wins ratio in the game today. Just watch.

When you get swept coming out of a break, that just screams of a manager who is not motivating his players. How can the Red Sox talk about bringing Farrell back?
It's not that I think they'd implode if they chased Hamels, but I think the Pads would wind up unfortunate in that they could make a few pickups and make a decent run but still miss out because the NL is so stacked. They're helpless in that regard.

Ditto for Cueto.Hamels has been shit since June 1. 0-3 with a 5.56 ERA in eight starts. Given all the trade speculation surrounding him, I'm sure the Phillies front office is pleased with his recent outings. . .
That has been his only winning season in, what, 5 years of managing? At what point do you just say the guy got lucky as all fuck and move on?Meh. He did a pretty good job motivating his players in '13 when they went into the season with pretty low expectations and then won the World Series.
I think getting swept coming out of a break, in this instance, just screams a shitty team played a pretty good team coming out of a break.
I brought it up last season and was roundly reviled, especially by Sox fans. Remember Rock? Now that the Padres have a high payroll, I'm sure it's much less taboo.
Ditto for Cueto.
Oh, Padres win one goddamn game and it's back to this shit?!
why they extended him with a year left in a "prove it" year is beyond me.When you get swept coming out of a break, that just screams of a manager who is not motivating his players. How can the Red Sox talk about bringing Farrell back?

That regime loves him, though.

That's some funny shit. I can't rate it as such though, because you having more positive ratings than comments is ridiculous. Protest.
Still mad because I won pickems on a short week while you were out picking up trash on the side of the highway, huh? That's some funny shit. I can't rate it as such though, because you having more positive ratings than comments is ridiculous. Protest.

Yeah, which is why I don't ride the "Fire Gibbons" train here. Maybe give him a rotation that isn't in the bottom 3rd of the AL every season and the Jays wouldn't be a .500 team with the best offence in the majors.I think the entire team was lucky that year. They played over their heads for practically all season.
I don't care if he gets fired, I just think sometimes these guys get handed shitty teams and then get pissed on when they perform shittily.
