I have a buddy visiting from England and was considering seeing if he wanted to go to this game, but yesterday we were out drinking from noon until around midnight and I have a soul crushing hangover right now.I've had worse seatsView attachment 298883
AMEN !Let me say it again for all of us on here...Swing The Damn Bat!!!!!
Thanks WH- I paid attention today and realized it was Jen, just couldn't remember her name. (probably bloking it unconsciously) HOWEVER- I can't believe some ot the dumb ass questions she asks players and you can tell the player is thinking "shut the fuck up and let me get back with my buds". I understand the whole contract thing where players must make themselves available to Root sports for post game interviews etc. but I still think it sucks. I am more than happy to aswer any questions OR share my opions/thoughts with anyoneJen Mueller
Meh. Not much else going on until football camp opens, but I get it. Looks like yet another season of not watching much baseball after the all star break. And today's game is where I stop giving a shit about the Mariners this year. Getting one hit by Cy fucking Kutter Crawford. The other 13 teams in the AL beat the Red Sox today.
I'll still follow a few guys like Gilbert and JRod and see how they're doing, but I'm done wasting my time with this team.
I'm not concerned because he has shown the ability to adapt and for the most part really good plate discipline.AMEN !
And Julio needs to stop swinging ( and missing ) at all the down and away sliders.... or he is going to get a whole bunch more of them thrown his way. He falls behind a bunch of counts 0-2 1-2 because he waves at a couple sliders down and away ( off the plate ) thrown from RHP's.
He'll learn.
I wonder what it could be.It could be worse. Tigers paid a guy $77M and this...
To add to this, there's no excuse when Crawford wasn't throwing strikes, walked 4 guys in 5 innings and the Mariners went 0-6 with RISP.I dont have enough time in the day to list all the things that annoy me about this franchise. But I would say towards the top is the inability to hit a pitcher that is making his first start or has poor numbers in AAA/MLB. This dude we faced yesterday wasnt even getting AAA hitters out. Again this is story I've seen with this team for far too long. No I'm not gonna blame yesterday on Sewald for giving up a HR to a top 5 hitter in baseball on pitch that was nearly in the other batters box. 1 hit against a scrub is just pathetic. This series was there for the taking and they were lucky to get 1 game
That is what he told the team and the manager said you know what we know so I guess they can't do a different list with the facts he gave them. Crazy these days with players. I wish him well, but new players aren't like the old players.I wonder what it could be.
Given how vague the comment was, there are a ton of different possibilities. Although that being said, if he was dealing with some sort of actual personal issue - i.e. a death of a family member or something - wouldn't they put him on the bereavement list? Probably something bigger there.
I'm not too down on Ray yet, it seems as if he pitches a good game then just has one bad inning. Per Divish:If there can be one positive note from yesterday, 7 shutout innings from Robbie Ray. Hopefully a turning point for his season.
